Actress sues ex-husband, mother-in-law

Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu is suing her ex-husband and ex-mother-in-law for libel and insulting her.

Hsu's studio issued a statement through lawyers, stating that Hsu's ex-husband Wang Xiaofei and his mother Zhang Lan engaged in insulting and defamatory behavior towards Hsu on online platforms yesterday.

Hsu ended her 10-year marriage with Wang two years ago.

Last year, after announcing her remarriage with Koo Jun Yup, she had a complete fallout with Wang's family.

First, Wang was said to have launched a series of attacks against the Hsu family on Weibo before Zhang added fuel to the fire during a live stream on TikTok.

Currently, the Beijing Internet Court has registered the cases.

Hsu's lawyer stated that as a victim of cyberbullying, Hsu had experienced the harm of online violence.

Hsu also called on web users to express themselves rationally.
