Big shake for CK's helping hand

CK Group is the third top donor to the Community Chest for 2020/2021, and has stayed in the top three donor rankings for the 22nd consecutive year.

Simon Man Ka-keung, general manager of the accounts department at CK Asset Holdings, accepted the award on behalf of CK Group from Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor yesterday.

One of the best-known of CK Group's fund-raising activities is the Cheung Kong donation hotlines.

All contributions from the public made through the hotline are matched dollar-for-dollar by the group, doubling total donations to the Community Chest.

The donations are to support Hong Kong residents whose livelihood has been affected by the pandemic.

In May, CK Group joined hands with the Li Ka Shing Foundation to encourage people to donate.

When the public donated HK$1 through the hotline, the CK Group and the Li Ka Shing Foundation donated $2.
