Man found dead in bathtub at Tin Shui Wai hotel

A 66-year-old man was found dead in a hotel room bathtub in Tin Shui Wai on Sunday afternoon.

Police received a report from staff at the Harbour Plaza Resort City around 4pm. A cleaner discovered the Tang surnamed man unconscious in the bathroom of a room.

Emergency personnel arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene. Police are investigating the incident.

According to sources, the man had suffered from diabetes and heart disease for many years. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer several years ago and required regular hospital follow-ups. He had been renting the room since August last year.

He returned to his room around 2am and had not left. When the cleaner entered, he was found in the tub with the water still warm. No obvious injuries were observed. The case is currently considered non-suspicious.
