Second of final two Wang Fuk Court patients discharged

Another injured resident from the fatal fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po has been discharged from hospital, leaving one remaining patient in stable condition, the Health Bureau said on Friday.

A total of 79 injured residents were treated at various public hospitals following the blaze. Of these, 78 have now recovered and been discharged.

The bureau said it is continuing to coordinate primary healthcare services for affected residents through District Health Centers or Health Stations across all 18 districts. As of February 11, the hotline operated by the centers had received a cumulative total of 414 calls.

The Hospital Authority has provided necessary medical services to around 2,000 affected residents so far, it added.

Separately, as of February 11, the family doctor free consultation scheme had handled 108 referrals, while the Chinese medicine free consultation service had processed 70 referrals. The free denture fitting service had dealt with 33 referrals.
