Man found floating off Kowloon City Pier dies

A 59-year-old South Asian man was found floating about 10 meters off Kowloon City Ferry Pier at 11.39am on Wednesday (Feb 11), after passersby reported him to the authorities.

Rescue personnel pulled the man from the water while he was unconscious and rushed him to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police confirmed the man’s identity and are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
