Switzerland Tourism unveiled a vibrant new promotional video in Hong Kong to celebrate the upcoming Lunar New Year of the Horse, inviting Chinese-speaking travellers to experience the country’s stunning landscapes, festive charm and world-famous rail journeys.
Coinciding with the start of spring on the lunar calendar, Switzerland Tourism hosted a media event in Hong Kong to launch the festive video titled "Ma Seung—Gallop to Switzerland!" The lively production showcases Switzerland’s natural beauty, city culture and efficient transport network while sending New Year greetings to travellers from Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China.
The video features lantern-lit streets in Lucerne, snow-draped Zermatt, the Jungfrau region, Mount Pilatus, Mount Titlis, and iconic train rides on the Bernina and Glacier Express routes.
It captures the joyful energy of New Year preparations and encourages visitors to embark on a memorable Swiss adventure.
The event was attended by Swiss Consul General in Hong Kong Daniel Freihofer, Switzerland Tourism Director Greater China Daniela Chiani, Head of South China & Hong Kong Rosa Lau, Swiss Travel System Sales Manager Hong Kong & Taiwan Teresa Sham, Swiss International Air Lines Sales Manager Haily Kwan, representatives from Lindt and Victorinox, and over thirty media professionals and travel bloggers.
Reflecting on 2025, the Year of the Snake, Daniela Chiani highlighted steady growth in the Greater China market, which ranked second among long-haul regions.
For the Year of the Horse—symbolizing energy, ambition and exploration—Switzerland Tourism plans to accelerate industry promotions, introduce its first-ever luxury travel campaign and adopt more innovative marketing approaches.
Teresa Sham noted that the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland marks its 10th anniversary in 2026.
She also promoted the "Day Discoveries" concept, which lets visitors explore the country at a relaxed pace using its seamless public transport system.
The video will debut on Switzerland Tourism’s official social media channels on 10 February 2026.
The campaign encourages travelers to share their own Swiss experiences, with wide promotion planned across platforms to engage audiences.
