China issued 98.538 million exit-entry permit endorsements for Mainland residents traveling to Hong Kong, Macau, and the Taiwan region in 2025, the National Immigration Administration (NIA) announced on Wednesday.

A total of 20.897 million ordinary passports were issued nationwide, reflecting continued active demand for residents' cross-border travel, the NIA said.
Approximately 2.254 million Mainland Travel Permits were issued to residents of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, while 2.02 million various visas and documents were issued to foreign nationals last year.
The Government Service Platform of the NIA provided a cumulative total of 185 million services, such as inquiries and processing, for Chinese and foreign individuals throughout the year.
It also offered free identity authentication services for 76.329 million users, including residents of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, overseas Chinese, and foreigners holding permanent residency.
The official “12367” service platform handled a total of 7.11 million inquiries and requests for assistance from Chinese and foreign individuals, achieving an average satisfaction rate of 99.5 percent.
