Four people were injured in an escalator accident at Pacific Place in Admiralty on Friday afternoon, after one person fell on an upward-moving escalator, causing others behind to tumble in a chain reaction.

The incident occurred at around 3pm on an upward escalator at Pacific Place, located at 88 Queensway. According to witnesses, a person lost balance and rolled down the escalator steps, knocking down others standing behind. Passersby rushed to press the emergency stop button and called the police.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene to find three women and one man suffering injuries to their hands, legs and heads, with visible bleeding. All four were conscious at the time.
Parademics treated them on site before bringing them to the hospital. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
