An 82-year-old man who went missing while visiting graves at Kowloon Peak has been found safe with minor injuries after being lost for more than 24 hours.
The man, surnamed Wong, was reported missing by his family on Monday after he failed to return from visiting Pak Fa Lam cemetery on Clear Water Bay Road around 10:30am.
Rescue personnel gathered at the cemetery Tuesday morning to conduct mountain searches, with ambulance crews standing by at the scene.
Firefighters located the elderly man on Kowloon Peak shortly before 11pm. He remained conscious with only hand and leg abrasions and was transported to United Hospital for treatment.
Police confirmed the case shows no suspicious circumstances.
