A 54-year-old local woman was arrested for allegedly stealing copper materials worth approximately HK$3,000 from a construction site on Wang Chiu Road in Kowloon Bay on Monday afternoon.
Kowloon East Emergency Unit officers spotted the suspicious woman pulling a trolley near the construction site at around 5pm during patrol duties. Upon inspection, officers discovered 15 bundles of copper wires and 101 copper pipes in her backpack and trolley.

Preliminary investigation led to her arrest on suspicion of "construction site theft." The suspect, surnamed Yiu, remains in custody for further investigation. The case has been transferred to Sau Mau Ping District Crime Squad Team 1 for follow-up action.
