With the countdown underway for the 15th National Games, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, and the 9th National Special Olympic Games, The Hong Kong Jockey Club has joined a citywide roving exhibition to raise public enthusiasm and engagement.
The Club, which serves as the sole Partner Sponsor of the Games in the Hong Kong Competition Region, was also recently honored for its significant support.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club is taking part in the “2025 National Games Fiesta” roving exhibition series, organized by the National Games Coordination Office, by setting up interactive booths in shopping malls across Hong Kong from August to October.
Through engaging activities and games run by its CARE@hjc Volunteer Team, the exhibition highlights the Club’s longstanding contributions to sports development and its specific role in this year’s multi-sport event.
A special ceremony titled “Creating Victory Together” was held at Sha Tin Town Hall Plaza to recognize partners and sponsors supporting the Games. The Jockey Club and its Charities Trust are providing a total of HK$450 million to support the Games in Hong Kong. The funding will go toward volunteer programs, community and school promotions, and initiatives that allow underprivileged groups and young people to attend the Games as spectators.
Four competitions will carry the Club’s name: the Rugby Sevens and Men’s U22 Basketball events during the National Games, and the Wheelchair Fencing and Para Table Tennis (T11) competitions during the Games for Persons with Disabilities and the Special Olympics.
In addition to its efforts in Hong Kong, the Club is contributing 50 million yuan to support the Games in the Guangdong Competition Region.
This includes assistance with official events, volunteer services, promotions, and technical support for the equestrian events.
