After months of rigorous auditions and professional training, Tsang, a former finalist on the local talent show "King Maker IV" and an ex-member of the girl group Strayz, was chosen for her stage experience and dynamic energy.
She is now set to represent Hong Kong on the international stage as part of the globally recognized ensemble.
The debut event yesterday featured an opening appearance by star choreographer Nicky Andersen, who shared that he was inspired by the participants and encouraged them to continue pursuing their dreams.
The members of Now United then took the stage with a vibrant performance, followed by an address from Simon Fuller, who expressed his long-standing admiration for Hong Kong and his excitement about adding a talented local artist who can connect with youth worldwide.
Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok Fu-shing, serving as an ambassador for the initiative, also made an appearance.
He expressed deep emotion after watching Now United’s performance and shared his excitement about Tsang’s official induction.
Reflecting on his own youth, Kwok emphasized the importance of perseverance and seizing opportunities.
He praised the group members for their talent and infectious energy, admitting that their performance moved him.
Kwok also acknowledged the HKJC’s strong support for the project.
As an avid horse enthusiast and owner himself, he highlighted the Club’s role in creating opportunities for young people to achieve their dreams.
He later joined the members of Now United on stage for a performance of his classic hit "Crazy City”, which drew cheers from the audience.
Tsang shared her excitement about performing alongside both her new teammates and Kwok.
She revealed that she has been a fan of the legendary performer since childhood and felt inspired to share the stage with him.
She also noted the strong camaraderie among the culturally diverse members of Now United, describing the group as exceptionally united and supportive—a contrast to her previous experiences in the local industry.
Tsang added that she received valuable advice from Kwok and looks forward to applying it as she embarks on international tours with the group, starting with performances across Brazil in November.
Raymond Tam Chi-yuen, HKJC executive director for corporate affairs and the Club’s executive director for customer strategy, insights and innovation Dennis Hau Tak-yeung also presented Kwok with a letter of appointment and a commemorative microphone.
Hau said partnership advances the Club's goal of becoming a global sports and entertainment brand, while also providing unique opportunities for local youth and promoting Hong Kong's culture internationally.
Now United is also scheduled to perform at HKJC racecourses and during the 2025 LONGINES Hong Kong International Races.
