2025/26 HK racing season kicks off on Sept 7 with singer MC Cheung and over HK$880,000 in prizes

Hong Kong’s 2025/26 Season Opening Raceday is returning on Sunday, September 7 at Sha Tin Racecourse with exciting races, entertainment and fabulous prizes.

Be the early bird to catch the worm! Spectators entering the racecourse before 3:30pm will get a complimentary 2025/26 racing calendar. Before the races begin, boost your good luck by striking the gong at the public grandstand, and enjoy the spectacular opening ceremony featuring traditional lion dance to bring good fortune and live music performance by chart-topping Cantopop singer MC Cheung.

MC Cheung will be performing in the Parade Ring before the first race at 11:40am. After last year’s phenomenal performance at the racecourse, Cheung is deeply impressed by the electric atmosphere and looks forward to visiting his favourite spot, the gong area, for good luck.

As you arrive, don’t forget to scan the on-site QR code to enter the lucky draw to win one of the 1,330 prizes totaling over HK$880,000! Prizes include a “Behind the Scenes” stable tour, a HK$15,000 HKJC dining voucher, a Korean brand foldable cellphone, a 2024/25 Horse of the Year plush, and HK$300 HKJC dining vouchers.
