The exhibition transports visitors to the Mughal Empire's cultural zenith under three visionary rulers - Emperor Akbar, his son Jahangir, and grandson Shah Jahan. Their courts became vibrant crossroads where Persian, Indian, Chinese and European artistic traditions fused into a distinctive Mughal style.
Among the highlights is a digital recreation of Shah Jahan's iconic Taj Mahal, revealing the technical brilliance behind its floral stone inlays that symbolized eternal love.
Exquisite objects demonstrate the empire's global connections, including a Ming dynasty porcelain dish bearing Persian inscriptions that confirm Chinese ceramics in Mughal collections, and translucent jade wine cups that later inspired Qing dynasty artisans.
Opulent jewelry showcases traditional gem-setting techniques, while rare paintings offer glimpses of imperial life - from garden receptions to the curiosity about exotic wildlife like North American turkeys.
