Hong Kong showcased the official merchandise for the 15th National Games on Saturday, featuring a range of products featuring the event’s mascots.
The Games, co-hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau, will see Hong Kong’s first batch of licensed goods available from Monday (Jul 14) until the end of the competition.
At a launch event held at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza, the Secretary for Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Rosanna Law Shuk-pui, announced that official retail outlets have been set up at the Kai Tak Mall, West Kowloon High Speed Rail Station, and the Wan Chai Immigration Tower.
Additionally, after the launch event, a pop-up store was set up at the Piazza from 6pm to 8pm today, giving the public an early chance to purchase themed souvenirs.
The mascots for this year’s National Games, National Games for Persons with Disabilities and National Special Olympic Games, named Xiyangyang and Lerongrong, are inspired by the Chinese white dolphin, symbolizing happiness, unity, and harmony.
The merchandise includes plush toys, rotating figurines, commemorative pins, practical items like thermos flasks and towels, and even products emblazoned with slogans.

The most expensive item is the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau City Culture Pin Display Set", priced at HK$800 and limited to 2,000 sets. The set features pins representing the cultural landmarks of the three host regions, designed to be displayed as wall art.
Law highlighted the significance of the National Games, describing it as China’s largest and highest-level multi-sport event, where winning gold in events like table tennis can be "even harder than at the Olympics." She also emphasized the inclusive spirit of the Paralympic Games, encouraging greater participation in sports among people with disabilities.
The merchandise, she noted, not only embodies the spirit of the Games but also incorporates Hong Kong elements such as Victoria Harbour scenery, city landmarks, and local cuisine.
During the event, Law personally shopped at the pop-up store, spending several hundred dollars on a set of moving mascot plush toys, a "bun-scrambling" pin, and an enamel mug. She joked that the mug was perfect for instant noodles with eggs and luncheon meat.
When asked about ticket scalping concerns, Law assured that a unified ticketing platform with real-name registration would be implemented, with details to be announced later.

The Games’ medals, named "Leap Together," symbolize the collaboration between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau. The competitive sports medals feature an overlapping design of the three regions’ flowers—kapok, bauhinia, and lotus—forming a "unity firework" above a peony, representing national prosperity. The reverse side depicts mascot Joyful holding a torch.
Meanwhile, the group sports medals are simpler in design, engraved with a famous quote for the National Games by Mao Zedong written in simplified Chinese.
