As the Labour Day Golden Week progresses into its third day, the bustling crowds show no signs of abating.

Today at noon, reporters visited the Ngong Ping 360 cable car station in Tung Chung, observing long queues at both the ticket counters and boarding areas.

Mainland tourists, eager to visit the Tian Tan Buddha, were prominent among the visitors. Some locals, accompanied by their mainland relatives, toured Lantau Island, overwhelmed by the crowd density. "There are so many people, I can't even see the start or end of the line," one local commented.
In addition to mainland tourists, Hong Kong residents also entertained international guests. A local resident, surnamed Ting, brought her family from Dongguan to visit her mother and brother in Hong Kong and explore Lantau Island. Having never experienced the cable car before, they made a special trip for this adventure. After visiting the Big Buddha, their next stop was the Tung Chung Outlet. Ting remarked on the extensive queues, noting the difficulty in estimating the wait time due to the crowd.
Ng, another local, hosted four French friends, reinforcing the notion that Ngong Ping 360 is a "must-visit" destination in Hong Kong. Despite the crowds, they were patient, likening the experience to visiting other globally renowned sites such as the Arc de Triomphe in France, which also draws large numbers of visitors.
Their three-week itinerary includes one week in Hong Kong before traveling to mainland China for a multi-stop tour. Upon completing their journey in China, they plan to return to Hong Kong to visit Victoria Peak and Sai Kung for its famed seafood, enjoying the trip without budget constraints.
Robert, one of the French visitors, shared his enthusiasm about experiencing a different culture and cuisine in Hong Kong. He appreciated the distinct scenery and warmer climate, which provided a unique and enjoyable contrast to France.
