The event was lively, featuring beloved characters like Ronald McDonald, the Hamburglar, Grimace, and Birdie the Early Bird, with guests eager to snap photos alongside them.
Delivering her speech at the dinner, Lai shared insights from market research that showed McDonald's as the most favored fast food restaurant in Hong Kong.
She pointed out that four of the world’s busiest McDonald's locations are situated in the city, which boasts around 260 outlets.
Lai reflected on the success of the restaurant’s adaptability, recalling how McDonald's embraced the early boom of Korean fried chicken by introducing Crispy Thighs, which have sold an impressive 30 million pieces to date.
In addition, she mentioned the renovated Admiralty Centre branch -- which is the second busiest McDonald's globally -- along with its new menu offerings.
Lai expressed that if the new menu receives a warm welcome, it may be rolled out to other branches in the near future.
