The three fare types, Light, Essential and Flex, will offer more flexibility and greater benefits to customers, said Cathay Pacific.
Light fares included one piece of checked-in luggage. Customers can pay for additional luggage and other benefits like seat pre-selection after their booking is made.
Essential fares included an extra piece of luggage while travelers have more options such as upgrading cabins using the airline's loyalty program Asia Miles. The Flex fares will be the ones with maximum flexibility.
Under the new fares systems, customers can combine different fare types and cabins in one itinerary.
Starting from next Tuesday, the redesigned Economy fares will be available for flight tickets originated from Malaysia, South Korea and the Taiwan region, and then be extended to all routes in Economy class over the next six months.
