Hang Seng Index rose 1 point at market open on Wednesday

Hong Kong stocks opened lower on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose only 1 point to 24,495.

Tech gauge fell 0.5 percent to 4,636 points.

Among the tech blue-chips, Alibaba (9888) rose 1.2 percent. 

New Oriental Education & Technology (9901) rose 2.7 percent -the best performer among the blue-chips. Lenovo (0992) fell 1.9 percent, the lowest among the blue-chips after leading the gain for several days.

Senasic Electronics Technology (6675) rose 72.1 percent to HK$31.6 on its trading debut.
