Hang Seng Index opened lower on Tuesday after Monday's gain.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index slipped 16 points, or 0.07 percent, to 24,826 points.
Tech gauge fell 0.27 percent to 4,752 points.
Laopu Gold (6181) fell 1.5 percent, the worst performer among the blue chips. CATL (3750) fell 1.3 percent.
Meanwhile, Lenovo (0992) rose 1.2 percent.
Among the tech blue chips, Meituan (3690) fell 1.7 percent, and Baidu (9888) fell 1 percent. Tencent (0700) was up 0.7 percent, and Alibaba (9988) rose 0.6 percent.
Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (0388) rose 0.1 percent, while HSBC (0005) and AIA (1299) fell 0.5 percent and 0.8 percent, respectively.
Oil stocks opened lower. CNOOC (0883) and PetroChina (0857) fell 0.5 percent and 1.2 percent, respectively.
