Hang Seng Index flat, A shares at 11-year high on Wednesday ahead of Xi-Trump meeting

Hong Kong stocks were muted on Wednesday, ahead of the Xi-Trump meeting. 

The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose by 40 points, or 0.15 percent, to 26,388 points at close.

The market turnover was HK$277.8 billion.

The Hang Seng Tech Index grew by 0.46 percent to 5,093 points.

In the mainland, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index climbed by 0.67 percent to 4,242 points, the highest since July 2015, and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Component Index was up by 1.7 percent to 16,089 points.
