HSBC to cut US dollar deposit rate by 12.4 basis points

The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation cut its US dollar deposit rate by 12.4 basis points, following a cut in the US interest rate.

The bank lowered the rate to 0.001 percent per annum from 0.125 percent in October.

The change will take effect on Friday.
