Alibaba and Honor deepen partnership to integrate AI into smartphones

Alibaba (9988) and Honor have announced a comprehensive deepening of their strategic collaboration for artificial intelligence integration into smartphones, according to mainland media reports. 

The partnership will span multiple areas including AI cloud infrastructure, AI models, AI agent ecosystems, as well as online and offline business ecosystems. This marks the first time Alibaba’s full-stack AI capabilities are being fully integrated into the AI smartphone industry.

In July Honor launched its new annual foldable flagship model, the Honor Magic V5. The device is equipped with Alibaba’s Tongyi large model, along with two vertical AI agent applications—Fliggy Travel and Amap.
