HK investment promotion agency announces combined FinTech Week and StartmeupHK Festival

Hong Kong's investment promotion arm announced that its two flagship events will merge for their 10th anniversary in November.

The Hong Kong FinTech Week and StartmeupHK Festival will take place from November 3 to 7, 2025, according to Invest Hong Kong.

The convergence of the two events will create an expanded platform for technology and business impact, underscoring Hong Kong’s dedication to the digital economy, InvestHK said.

InvestHK director-general of investment promotion Alpha Lau Hai-suen said the celebration will mark a decade of innovation and create a powerhouse event that will stand as an iconic symbol of the city’s future development. 

In 2024, the number of startups in Hong Kong grew by 10 percent to 4,694, with fintech being the biggest sector, featuring over 600 startups, according to InvestHK.
