Henderson Land Development (0012) is optimistic about new home sales in 2025 amid an expected influx of highly skilled workers and their families into Hong Kong and lower mortgage rates.
The developer plans to put around 5,400 new homes on the market across 12 new projects in the Year of the Snake.
Its first sales division will launch six projects offering around 1,700 homes, including the second phase of Belgravia Place in Cheung Sha Wan.
Belgravia Place's second phase is expected to go on sale this month and a sales office and show flats are to open soon.
Its second sales division, meanwhile, will launch six new projects offering over 3,700 homes.
These include a project on Nam Kok Road in Kowloon City, offering more than 300 units, which is expected to be launched in the first quarter of the year.
Henderson Land said it anticipates demand from the tens of thousands of professionals and their families relocating to Hong Kong, with some likely to consider home purchases in the second half of the year.
Additionally, as mortgage payments are now lower than rents, tenants may be encouraged to invest in property, which would help the market in 2025, it said.
