Uber Eats Hong Kong has appointed Elisa Janiec as general manager.
She is tasked with strengthening Uber Eats Hong Kong's partnership with restaurants and delivery-partners on the platform and overseeing the next phase of the company’s growth.
Elisa joined Uber in 2017 as Uber Eats’ Senior Operations manager in Brisbane, Australia, before going on to lead Uber Eats across Queensland & Northern Territory.
In 2019, she took over as Head of New Zealand and Regional Australia, managing a portfolio of 30+ cities. She also spearheaded key initiatives in the region, including launching Uber Eats in 15+ cities, and piloting virtual restaurants and new use cases for pick-up services.
Elisa holds an MBA from the University of Queensland (Australia) and graduated with First Class Honors in Bachelor of Law at Bond University (Gold Coast, Australia).
Jodie Auster, Regional General Manager For Uber Eats in APAC, said Elisa's experience in expanding the Australia and New Zealand footprint, from Darwin to Launceston and everywhere in between, and success in building the Uber Eats business from the ground up is exactly what we need in Hong Kong.
Elisa says she is ooking forward to getting set up in Hong Kong and experiencing its food delights. Street food or Michelin-starred, via the app or in the restaurant.
