In a shocking disclosure, Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung Pak-chi revealed that she has prepared a will and outlined her own funeral details, calmly stating she is “ready to go at any time.”
The 54-year-old actress laid bare her very own planned departure on the latest episode of the mainland variety show, “The Blooming Journey S2.”
"I have already had a lawyer write everything," she said. "I don't want to see everyone fight over money after I'm gone."
Cheung’s personal bombshell announcement left fellow veteran stars Carina Lau Kar-ling and Ning Jing visibly stunned, with Lau questioning if such detailed preparation was necessary.
In addition to the asset distribution, Cheung added that she has personally selected her memorial photo and burial attire, stating, “I am ready to go anytime.”
Regarding her three children, she stressed that she will love them fully while alive, but they must "learn to love themselves" in her absence.
Cheung’s refreshing attitude over money has earned widespread approval from online communities, with many praising her as "clear-headed" and "responsible," particularly as a single mother.
However, her revelation has also sparked discussion about her family dynamics, putting her private life under the public spotlight.
According to mainland media reports, it is estimated that Cheung’s net worth is about 1 billion yuan, amassed from her film earnings and film endorsements, as well as properties spanning across Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
Despite a glamorous image, Cheung has recently been embroiled in an ongoing lawsuit with her former manager, Yu Yuk-hing, over a contract dispute and is facing claims for a large sum in damages.
