Internet celebrity Rachel Chung, the secret lover of the married chairman of Tai Sang Bank, Patrick Ma Ching-hang, said she has filed a report with the police after being impersonated by individuals engaged in fraudulent activities targeting her supporters.
In a video posted on Instagram on Wednesday (Jun 4), Chung stated that she had just reported the case to the Peak Police Station.
The 34-year-old claimed that some fraudsters impersonated her in order to solicit monetary transfers from her supporters, asserting that they would provide collagen powder and meal replacements. However, these impersonators subsequently disappeared.
She has not disclosed the amount of funds that her supporters have potentially lost to the deception.
Chung said she felt sorry for her supporters being deceived and emphasized her serious commitment to addressing the matter thoroughly.
