Cantopop star Nicholas Tse Ting-fung's concert is scheduled from Thursday (Apr 24) to Sunday, and he is also the first Asian artist to perform a solo concert in the newly built Kai Tak Sports Park.
It will be Tse's first solo concert in 25 years. Kai Tak Sports Park CEO John Sharkey expressed eagerness at Tse's performance at the Hong Kong home venue, which welcomes local, mainland and international audiences.
The Park advised concertgoers to collect physical tickets in advance, plan their transportation ahead of time, and be mindful of prohibited items such as long umbrellas and light-up banners.
Ticket holders may go through security checks beginning at 4.30pm and may enter the Kai Tak Stadium starting at 5.30 pm.
The concert starts at 7.30 pm.
The Transport Department announced special traffic arrangements to facilitate spectators traveling to and from the Park.
The interval between trains on the MTR Tuen Ma Line and the northbound East Rail Line will be enhanced during the dispersal period, with spare trains arranged.
Two special bus routes will also be provided during the dispersal period, including route SP12 to Lok Ma Chau (San Tin) Public Transport Interchange and route A25S to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port and Airport.
Meanwhile, cross-boundary travelers are urged to plan their journeys early and use MTR services as much as possible, as the last train to Lo Wu Station will depart from Sung Wong Toi Station at 10.59pm and Kai Tak Station at 11.01pm.
Travelers who miss the last train may take route No. 276B or N73 to Lok Ma Chau (San Tin) Public Transport Interchange and transfer to the Lok Ma Chau-Huanggang cross-boundary shuttle bus for their journey to the mainland.
Spectators who plan to return to the mainland using cross-boundary coach services are also advised to purchase tickets in advance.
In addition, the Sung Wong Toi Road Pick-up/Drop-off Area will be open from 2pm to midnight as the Transport Department will mobilize the taxis to pick up passengers.
The Park noted that no parking is available on-site.
