A man allegedly injured three people in a random stabbing attack on a pedestrian crossing directly in front of a police station in Tainan on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred around 8pm in front of the Jinhua Police Station. The assailant, wielding a 30-centimeter knife, attacked passers-by on the crosswalk.
Three victims were hospitalized: a 42-year-old man with an abdominal stab wound and heavy bleeding, a 32-year-old woman with a back stab wound, and a 29-year-old man with a cut on his thumb. All were conscious when admitted.

The alleged attacker, a foot masseur from a nearby spa, was subdued at the scene by police. He was also hospitalized for a hand injury.
Witness footage showed the man swinging the knife and shouting as people fled. Initial police investigations suggest he may have been disturbed due to recent relationship issues. The motive is under investigation.
