National security police question parents of fugitive opposition figure Frances Hui

Hong Kong national security police questioned the parents of fugitive opposition figure Frances Hui Wing-ting on Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation.

The parents were taken away by police officers from their Sha Tin home this morning. Hui’s mother previously helped with the police’s investigation in December 2023.

The US-based Hui were among five listed as absconders after being slapped with warrants in December 2023.
