Hong Kong travelers can reach China’s most beautiful grassland in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, in just four and a half hours with a new flight route launching on April 29.
Operated by Hong Kong Airlines, the A320 aircraft will operate every Tuesday and Thursday, with round-trip tickets starting at HK$2,969.
The outbound flight departs at 12.15pm and arrives in the northeastern city at 4.55pm, while the return flight lands in Hong Kong at 11pm, almost a five-hour journey.
It is reported by local media that the flight marks the inaugural direct route connecting Hong Kong and Inner Mongolia, serving as a bridge to boost tourism between the two regions.
Travelers are encouraged to visit Manzhouli, a vibrant town where Chinese, Russian, and Mongolian cultures converge, and to admire the night views of the "window of East Asia."
Besides exploring the breathtaking grassland scenery, travelers can take a stroll through the “most beautiful forest” inside Moridaga National Forest Park.
In addition, the city is home to the Aoluguya Ewenki people, where visitors may explore their rich culture and traditions at the Aoluguya Reindeer Tribe.
