TD forecasts heavy traffic as visitors flock to High Island Reservoir

The Transport Department (TD) announced on Friday that the area around the High Island Reservoir's East Dam is currently experiencing a high volume of visitors.

It is anticipated that traffic on Sai Kung Man Yee Road, leading from the dam towards Pak Tam Chung, will be especially heavy this afternoon.

In response, the department has increased the frequency and service of the dedicated minibus Route 9A, which runs from the East Dam to Pak Tam Chung, to accommodate the surge in passenger demand.

Additionally, the TD has advised visitors on its social media pages to plan their trips early and allow ample time for travel. They also urged travelers to remain patient while waiting in line.
