The incident was reported to the police shortly before 7pm yesterday (Mar 28) when a pedestrian discovered the man lying on the ground on the second-floor platform.
Rescue workers promptly arrived at the scene, finding the man unconscious. He was immediately rushed to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Initial police investigations suggest that the man fell from an upper floor. No suicide note was found at the scene, and the exact cause of his death remains under investigation.
Live sources reported that the man was between the fourth and fifth floors at the time of the incident. He is suspected to have fallen after crossing a barrier that was over one meter high.
Further investigation revealed that the man appeared to have been wandering on the fourth floor before he fell.
It was also noted that the deceased had entered Hong Kong the previous day (Mar 28) using a Chinese passport. The investigation into this event is ongoing.
