A woman was caught purchasing a knife in a supermarket after she engaged in a physical altercation and contentious exchange with passersby in a Tuen Mun shopping mall.
The incident unfolded on March 17 at around 9am, when a 59-year-old woman reportedly bumped into another woman inside the mall, leading to a confrontation.
The woman who got bumped into shared her thoughts on a Facebook page, detailing the sequence of events.
In the post, the woman shared videos of the encounter and recounted she and her sister were passing by a convenience store in Fu Tai Shopping Centre when the woman in purple clothing violently bumped into her sister, causing her to lose balance.
The sisters immediately confronted the woman and later filed a report with the police after the woman responded in a very aggressive manner. The woman can be seen in the video leaving the scene as the sisters confront her.
In another video, the woman can be seen checking out at a supermarket. The items inside the cart, including what appeared to be a knife and three oranges, were handed over to the cashier for payment.
The video captured the sisters informing the woman that the police had been called, to which she reacted aggressively, dismissing their concerns and continuing with her transaction.
The presence of police officers was noted towards the end of the video, with the sisters directing the officers to intervene.
According to the post, the woman told police during the investigation that she intentionally bumped into people because she was not in a good mood.
It was understood that the woman was later brought to Tuen Mun Hospital for examination, with police saying the woman was suspected to have been suffering from mental health problems.
