According to a statement on the Park's website, the cable car service was suspended earlier in the day due to signal issues, and a thorough inspection was to be conducted to ensure visitor safety.
As the Ocean Express is undergoing its annual inspection, transport services between the upper and lower park were suspended.
The Park apologized for the inconvenience caused.
Some visitors expressed disappointment with the service disruption, which forced them to leave early.
"It's a waste of time and money. The admission tickets are expensive but we were denied entry to the Summit," a Singaporean visitor said.
However, some visitors said they were unaffected as they only wished to visit the giant pandas at the lower park.
