According to the online post that went viral recently, the incident occurred last week at Siu Hong Commercial Centre in Tuen Mun.
In response to inquiries made by Sing Tao Headline -- a sister publication of The Standard -- a female representative from the office of District Council Member Mo Shing-fung shared details from a mall security guard that a man nearby quickly rushed to assist the elderly man right as his wheelchair was about to tip over.
Fortunately, the senior citizen did not sustain any injuries.
The security guard later assisted in retrieving the wheelchair and informed the elderly man's family to come and take him home.
