According to CCTV footage, the assailants smashed the viewing glass on multiple claw machines inside the two shops, leaving a floor covered with glass shards.
It was understood that the two shops are operated by two different owners. One of the shops had six to seven claw machines smashed and doused with white oil, while the other store had three machines vandalized.
One of the owners told officers he was not involved in any monetary dispute.
A hammer and bloodstains can be seen in one of the shops, with officers suspecting the assailants could have injured themselves during the act.
An investigation is ongoing.
