The government has invited MTR Corporation to conduct a development study on the waterfront and former pier sites south of Hung Hom Station, with land use proposals expected to be presented in the middle of this year.
Chan also announced plans to establish refreshment stalls at promenades in Central, Wan Chai, North Point, and Tsim Sha Tsui this year, aiming to enhance the visitor experience by leveraging the city’s harborfront resources.
Highlighting the success of the newly opened western section of the East Coast Boardwalk in North Point, Chan also confirmed that the eastern section will be completed this year. Also, the construction of Hung Hom Urban Park (Phase 2) and the open space at Eastern Street North in Sai Ying Pun is also on track for completion this year.
