The five-day event will be open to undergraduates, postgraduates, and fresh graduates, according to the Centre of Development and Resources for Students at HKU.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Interim Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Richard Yue-Chim Wong noted that HKU had debuted a Career Month event, which will run until March 15, encouraging students to seize the opportunity.
Meanwhile, Dean of Student Affairs Samson Tse noted that the university will reach out to employers to thoroughly discuss the strengths and weaknesses of local job seekers, particularly HKU graduates.
He added that the university will also initiate a program to assist students in establishing long-term learning goals beyond obtaining degrees, helping them understand their talents and promoting holistic career development.
