A 61-year-old man was found dead in his vehicle on Monday afternoon in Sheung Shui, suspected of committing suicide over debt-related distress.
At around 5 pm, passersby noticed a seven-seater sedan parked near the public toilets at Shek Wu San Tsuen. They spotted an unconscious man in the front passenger seat and immediately alerted the police.
Upon their arrival, police officers confirmed the man's death. Inside the vehicle, a burnt charcoal brazier was found.
Authorities are investigating the case, and the exact cause of death is pending a forensic autopsy.
It is understood that the deceased had been experiencing significant distress due to his financial troubles.
