At least 11 workers were injured on Monday after a huge bamboo scaffolding collapsed at a hospital construction site on Shing Cheong Road in Kai Tak collapsed.
According to sources, one of the workers was unconscious following the accident. They were all rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital and United Christian Hospital for treatment.
It was understood that the scaffolding measuring 20 meters by 100 meters detached and collapsed at around 4 pm while at least six workers were working on it.
Sources said at least 11 injured while some of them were trapped between the scaffolding.
More than 10 ambulances had responded to the scene.The cause of the collapse is still under investigation.
