First New Year baby born at Prince of Wales Hospital

Hong Kong welcomed its first baby of 2025 on Wednesday, with a boy born at Prince of Wales Hospital at 12.07 am. 

The Hospital Authority said the infant weighing 3.375 kilograms is the first baby to arrive at the public hospital in the new year.

Both the mother and the baby are healthy.

Additionally, a boy was born at Princess Margaret Hospital at 12.12 am, followed by a girl born at 1.17 am.

The newborns are the first children of their respective mothers.

In addition, a baby girl was born at the Prince of Wales Hospital at 1.59 am and weighing 2.84 kilograms.
