A self-service kiosk for Cross-boundary Public Services has been established in Foshan, allowing residents and businesses in mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) to access the public services of the SAR government without having to travel to Hong Kong in person.
The kiosk will offer 70 government services, including tax services, company registration, property and vehicle inquiries and registrations, personal identification documents, and talent immigration applications.
It also marks the fifth city in mainland China to set up such a service, following Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Shenzhen Qianhai, and Futian.
An "iAM Smart" self-registration kiosk is also set up at the location, allowing citizens to register or upgrade to "iAM Smart+" directly to enjoy several online public services, such as vehicle license renewal or eHealth registration.
Hong Kong residents on the mainland can access the kiosk at the Foshan Nanhai District Administrative Service Center.
The SAR government will continue discussions with the Guangdong authorities to expand these services to other mainland cities, addressing public demand for SAR government services.
