With a series of international meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions slated in Hong Kong in recent months and bringing participants to the city, the Hong Kong Tourism Board has cooperated with the Trade Development Council to organize tours for nearly 100 MICE visitors to appreciate Hong Kong’s cityscape. Jeffrey Lam praised the tours for enriching the itineraries of MICE visitors’ business trips and helping to promote Hong Kong.
As the Trade Development Council launches seven events covering lifestyle sectors and the licensing industry late this month, mainland and overseas exhibitors and buyers have gathered in Hong Kong.
The HKTB arranged for about 30 buyers and media representatives to enjoy the night view of Victoria Harbour on board the iconic Chinese junk Dukling on Saturday night.
Another group of about 60 people boarded an open-topped sightseeing bus on Sunday during nightfall and traveled through Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan Man Mo Temple and Causeway Bay’s tourist hot spots on Hong Kong Island, which is popularly promoted on Xiaohongshu social media.

HKTB executive director Dane Cheng Ting-yat, together with Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Algernon Yau Ying-wah and HKTDC deputy executive director Sophia Chong Suk-fan, welcomed MICE visitors to Victoria Harbour on Saturday.
HKTB said it always attaches importance to enriching MICE visitors’ experience, which not only adds value to international business events, but also helps to reinforce Hong Kong’s reputation as an international convention and exhibition hub.
As MICE visitors are usually on a tight schedule, the tours were arranged after their daytime MICE activities, so that they can make use of their spare time to relax and experience Hong Kong not only as an international business hub, but also as an ideal choice for leisure traveling, thus enticing them to visit again in the future.
Jeffrey Lam, chairman of the Home InStyle and HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair Organizing Committee, who is also a commercial sector lawmaker, praised HKTB’s arrangement enabling visitors to experience Hong Kong not only as an international city of business opportunities, but also as a vibrant and culturally distinctive tourism hub.

The board has also been organizing off-site activities for MICE visitors since January. During a string of arts events last month, the board gave away M+ Museum and Palace Museum tickets to visiting guests of WOW Summit Hong Kong 2024 and the Fortune Innovation Forum, as well as orchestrated a special boat ride on the harbor.
The board also organized tram, sailing ship and bus tours for guests of the 17th Asian Financial Forum in January.
