The tourism chief has urged tourists to be prepared as the scheduled Labour Day pyrotechnic display could be partially called off due to the weather conditions.

Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Kevin Yeung Yun-hung said Sunday that the decision will be made on Wednesday (May 1) afternoon according to the weather forecast.
The Observatory forecasts a cloudy day with occasional showers and squally thunderstorms on that day, with the showers being expected to be heavy at times.
As for the transportation and border arrangement for the Labour Day Golden Week, Yeung said the bureax have been well prepared and is confident that tourists can enjoy the Hong Kong trip even in bad weather.
He also encouraged various groups to hold events to boost the atmosphere and economy in the city, and said he has learned that the hotel bookings for the upcoming Golden Week were optimistic.
