Hong Kong police are searching for at least three assailants after two taxi passengers were slashed in Tsim Sha Tsui on Wednesday morning.
Police said the two men were attacked after the taxi they were in was intercepted by a private vehicle near the intersection of Chatham Road South and Chatham Court.
Three knife-wielding individuals rushed out of the private vehicle and slashed the two men on board the taxi. The trio then fled the scene in the same vehicle.
The two taxi passengers suffered knife wounds to their limbs but remained conscious and were rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Sources said one of them was seriously injured after being slashed four times.
The taxi driver was unharmed during the incident.
Officers from the Yau Tsim District Crime Squad are looking into the case, and no arrests have been made so far.
