Around 7 am today, a black sedan rammed into a security booth at the Justice Center entrance on 18 Lower Albert Road in Central.
The drivers and passengers escaped, with the individual claiming himself as the driver, later returning to the scene of the incident.
After a preliminary investigation, the man was then arrested under suspicion of criminal damage and dangerous driving.
The police conducted a press conference at 3 pm and revealed that the 23-year-old claimed to be a programmer and did not have prior criminal records.
He was arrested one hour after the incident, and no drugs or alcohol were detected in his body, and no illegal items were found in the sedan or on his body.
The investigation is still in its preliminary stages, and the police do not rule out any possible motives for the incident.
The police are still searching for two to three people on the run and investigating their identities.
