Swire Coca-Cola HK holds an exhibition highlighting the evolution of the iconic coke's glass bottle, the second lives of red crates, and the production line behind the new bottles.
The launch of the new glass bottles officially marks the retirement of the original 24-bottle crates. These old crates are upcycled to showcase their second lives in the exhibition. Visitors can learn about the production line behind the new bottles and the evolution of the iconic “Coca-Cola” glass bottle while exploring the world of retired red crates.
Apart from the exhibition, creative artwork featuring recycled high-density polyethylene (rHDPE) made from retired crates, by students from The Polytechnic University School of Design, are on display to raise public awareness of environmental protection and social inclusion.
The exhibition is held at The Mills in Tsuen Wan from June 11 to June 30. The new Coca-Cola returnable glass bottle beverages and limited edition souvenirs are available at the designated tuck shop (open every weekend). Visitors can redeem a limited edition “Coca-Cola” crate-shaped basket for HK$59.
Besides, 100 sets of “REDcognise Clip,” an award-winning clothes identification product specifically designed for visually impaired people, are also available at the tuck shop. All proceeds are to be donated to The Hong Kong Society for the Blind.
