Chan was sentenced for 12-year imprisonment in 2013 for forging the will note of late Nina Wang Kung Yu-sum, the former chairwoman of Chinachem Group. His sentence was reduced by one-third for good behaviors.
He stepped out of the prison this morning at 9.35am and immediately hugged his family members who came and picked him up. When asked about his health, Chan said he is doing well. Yet he seemed undecided about his future plans when speaking to media.
Chan then got into a black private car and headed to HKCCCU Pok Fu Lam Road Cemetery, where he paid tribute to his mother, who passed away while Chan was serving his sentence.
“I really miss my mother. It is a regret that I could not bid her farewell for the last time”, Chan said.
After a while Chan left the cemetery and arrived at Hong Kong International Music Academy in North Point, founded by his friends.
Chan also went to Happy Valley and had a taste of Wonton noodles, his favourite dish, before heading back home with his wife and family.
Chan said to media that he has written a book, yet it is still unknown when the book will be published.
